UBS Recruits $149M Morgan Stanley Advisor Matt Teems
Teems adds nonprofit and institutional-consulting depth to an established UBS Washington practice.
UBS has recruited Washington financial advisor Matt Teems from Morgan Stanley, where he served as a senior vice president and managed approximately $149 million in client assets.
Joining an Established Institutional Team
Teems joins The Capitol Group Institutional Consulting at UBS. For more than 20 years, he has advised Washington-area nonprofit organizations on investment analysis and the financial decisions supporting their short- and long-term goals.
The practice is part of UBS's Mid-Atlantic Market, led by Market Executive Brendan Graham and Market Director Mark Livoti.
Why This Hire Is Different
Teems is not simply bringing another traditional private-client book. His nonprofit and institutional background adds a specialized capability to an existing UBS consulting team.
The move also gives UBS a direct win from Morgan Stanley in Washington while reinforcing a broader recruiting strategy that includes institutional specialists alongside high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth practices.
