UBS Recruits $750M Morgan Stanley Team in Bethesda
UBS gains a multigenerational Bethesda practice with deep Morgan Stanley tenure and local relationships.
UBS has recruited Morgan Stanley financial advisors Richard Horn, Jeffrey Deckelbaum and Gerald Horn in Bethesda, Maryland, adding a multigenerational team that managed approximately $750 million.
A Multigenerational Team
Richard Horn has spent almost all of his 40-year financial-services career at Morgan Stanley. Jeffrey Deckelbaum entered the industry with the wirehouse in 2006, while Gerald Horn is a third-generation financial advisor who began his career at Morgan Stanley in 2018.
The team joins UBS's South Atlantic Market and reports to Market Executive Jake Shine. That market is part of the firm's Southeast Region, led by Regional Director Julie Fox.
Bethesda Relationships Add Strategic Value
The team's value to UBS extends beyond its reported assets. Its advisors bring decades of experience serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, along with deep ties to the Bethesda community.
The September 4 move was one of three UBS recruiting wins announced across Maryland, Colorado and Washington, all involving teams from Morgan Stanley or Merrill Lynch.
